The Y&R spoilers recap for Wednesday, January 5, 2022, finally gives Devon Hamilton an answer…as Abby Chancellor faces more questions. Plus, Nicholas Newman is excited about the future and so is Chelsea Lawson.

After Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) confessed to his wife that he doesn’t feel comfortable around Dominic and fears he never will, Abby (Melissa Ordway) went to Devon (Bryton James) and told him that…she doesn’t want to give him legal visitation rights with the baby. Her son needs time to bond with his real daddy – and Devon being around would just confuse him.
Meanwhile, Chance is talking work stuff with Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) and seems more excited about going back to work than he is about the whole husband and father thing. (Also, one more time, Abby: If the baby is shoving the bottle out of his mouth, HE DOES NOT WANT IT AND THAT IS WHY HE IS CRYING.)
Y&R Recap: Next Steps
Devon laments about Abby’s decision to Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan). She points out that, as the person who drew up the original contract, she knows how they can challenge it in court – because she’s just that good. Devon isn’t sure if he wants to disrupt Dominic’s life. Amanda points out that Abby already did that when she dumped the baby on Devon. Amanda is smart!

Young and the Restless: Future Imperfect
Nick (Joshua Morrow) tells Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) that he plans to focus more on his children – which includes a job offer for Noah Newman (Rory Gibson). Which will make him an independent man…just like Nick is from his father.
At the same time, Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) is telling Rey that most victims of poisoning aren’t usually as friendly with their assailants. Rey shrugs that he wants to be Chelsea’s friend. Rey is not smart!
