The Y&R spoilers recap for Monday, January 31, 2022, kicks off with Faith Newman talking college, Victoria Newman Locke giving Adam Newman a taste of life under her employ, and Chelsea and Sally clashing before the former gives Adam a pep talk. Finally, Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor worries about Chance Chancellor while he tries to get his old job back.

Faith (Reylynn Caster) got Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) to agree to take her to visit colleges. She even hinted to Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) that she wanted to go to school in Europe, but he gave her some advice to keep her family close by.
Young and the Restless: Business Is Business
Speaking of the Newmans, Victoria (Amelia Heinle) couldn’t wait to let Adam (Mark Grossman) know what it’d be like to work under her. Adam went straight to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) to tell him off. Victor let his son know that business is business, and he could stay and run the most influential media company in all the land or leave. Hmmm.
Victoria found Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) and told him she felt positive Adam would quit. The couple had yet another business disagreement because Ashland offered Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) a job with Ask MD Now without discussing it with Victoria. But, then, Victoria did agree to Victor’s terms without consulting Ashland, so they’re even…right?
Y&R Spoilers Recap: Clash of the (Designer) Titans
Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) edited Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) out of all the videos she took in New York City. The reason? Sally is too self-promotional, and Chelsea is the queen of designers. Later, both women went to Adam, and he dropped the bombshell that Victor sold Newman Media to Newman Locke. A shaken Chelsea quickly realized Sally already knew. Oopsie.

Good news for Adam, though. Chelsea left in a huff, and Sally gave Adam the best pep talk. After all, if he actually worked for Newman Media under Newman Locke, he could also run Billy Abbott’s (Jason Thompson) one-time company. Plus, he’d be in line to show The Mustache he’s the better Newman to carry on the Newman legacy. Sounds like Sally has the beat on Victor.
Y&R: Everything’s Fine
Abby (Melissa Ordway) pretended everything was fine. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) declared himself ready to return to the force. His wife reluctantly agreed after asking her husband to go to therapy, which he declined. However, Chance raised Rey’s eyebrows when he said he wanted a chance to redeem himself. Yikes. Maybe he’s not ready. Even Abby tried to get super counselor Sharon to agree that Chance needed counseling, but Sharon let the worried wife know that her husband had to be the one to want therapy before it would work. Chance is fine, though…no need to get help for PTSD.
Before he went home to Abby, Chance ran into Chelsea at Society. She looked stunned when he revealed Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) was Dominic’s other dad. Then Chelsea went on about Johnny and how hard it is to make the best choices for your child. The only problem is that Chance doesn’t seem to think it’s that hard to push Dominic out of their lives.
Finally, little Dominic returned from his first overnight at Devon’s, and Abby looked overjoyed to have her little family back under one roof. Chance? Maybe not as much.
