The Y&R spoilers recap for Thursday, February 10, 2022, brings plenty of restlessness and problems sleeping. Many in Genoa City fail to sleep. Chance Chancellor and Rey Rosales spend the night on a stakeout while Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor worries about Dominic. Elsewhere, Chelsea Lawson feels discontent and dreams about an off-limits man while Billy Abbott battles insomnia.
Because Chance (Conner Floyd) realized he couldn’t sleep anyway due to his worrying about Dominic, he asked Abby (Melissa Ordway) if she minded if he went with Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) on a stakeout. Although she seemed irritated that Chance would leave while Dominic was sick, she acquiesced, and Chance split.
Of course, when he and Rey ended up outside waiting for a criminal to strike again, Chance realized that he wasn’t quite ready for returning to work. Breaking glass threw him right back into his PTSD, and a sad-looking Chance went home to be with Abby and Dominic. Where does this man fit in these days?
Before Rey ended up with Chance fighting crime in Genoa City, he found himself at Crimson Lights stocking up on some java to keep himself awake and alert for the long night ahead. Of course, a restless Chelsea couldn’t sleep, so she went to the coffee shop for some herbal tea to calm her nerves. She’s feeling a bit more than friendly toward the good cop.
With Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case) at home asleep already, naturally, Rey and Chelsea had a long talk. She regaled him with tales of her life as a con artist with her mother. Rey hung on her every word. He admired how far she’d come and her resolve to truly change her life (but has she really, Rey?). Before the stakeout, Chance dropped by, and he also hung on the mesmerizing Chelsea’s every word. Strange happenings for two married men of the law, but whatever.
Chelsea went back to her empty hotel room, and simply couldn’t face the big bed alone, so she slept on the couch, awakening after an illicit dream about Rey. In it, the police detective kissed her passionately. Could this mean she is ready to be over Adam?
A restless Billy (Jason Thompson) also couldn’t sleep. So, after trying and failing to find some good information online to help with his sleeplessness, Billy decided to record himself talking to…himself. Who knew? Billy can serve as his own therapist. Wonder how that’s working out for him.
Anyway, he talked at length about all the poor and positive choices he’s made, always coming back to the unanswered question — what is bothering him?
Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) woke up, and she heard Billy talking. He accepted the interruption and even shared some of his private recordings with his girlfriend. Ultimately, it seemed like Billy wanted to ensure that he is well and truly finished with his feud with Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Lily thought that sounded great, and she went back to bed.
Billy finally realized that his life is golden right now, and he urged himself to make the choice to level up while things were going well to keep things on a positive path. Okay, then.
