A gun, three hostages, and a wire transfer gone wrong promise some dramatic Genoa City scenes. Breaking “Young and the Restless spoilers” promise an out-of-control mess at the Abbott Cabin.
The Hostage Exchange
Ian wants money and Victor (Eric Braeden) wants Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) freedom, so the two barter the exchange. Nikki’s life means more to The Mustache than any amount of cash, and he’ll gladly pay Ian whatever he wants. But first, Victor needs to ensure both ladies walk away.
When the gals unite and are out the door, he pays out the $5 million demand and hands the computer to Ian (Ray Wise) so he can see for himself. This is where things go a little wrong.
Password Alerts
Victor is a very smart man. He has a deal with his bank that entering a false password alerts not only the financial institution of the fraud, but the police of their location. Ian knows the police are now on their way and he has very little time to escape. So, he turns the tables in a very odd way.
Giving Up His Gun!
Ian decides he’d rather die than go back to prison and hands Victor his gun! He dares the most powerful Genoa City man to shoot him and end his life. Ian hurls insults, and when that doesn’t work, he taunts him about Nikki and his own personal past.
Victor is only milliseconds away from pulling the trigger when he sees Nikki’s face through the window. Can he do something so terrible while she watches? Ian is a man who gives Nikki nightmares, but Victor isn’t a killer. His wife is safe and he has the upper hand. Is it worth it?
