Y&R Spoilers: Adam and Chelsea Finally Reconnect!

Over the past few weeks, we’ve watched Chelsea’s heart shatter to pieces as Adam pulled further and further away from her thanks to his long prison sentence. Now, new The Young and the Restless spoilers reveal that this couple finally reconnects!

Going Out of Her Mind
For weeks it’s seemed as if Adam (Justin Hartley) had nothing left to hope for in prison. He appeared to completely give up. It even seemed he could tragically take his own life at some points. Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) watched, helpless in agony, as her husband lost his will to fight, and the prison walls slowly closed in on him. As desperate as she felt, she never gave up. It also hurt us to watch this couple torn apart by an unjust prison sentence.

Victor (Eric Braeden) helped Adam escape in a dramatic fashion. Then, Chelsea’s mother-in-law, in an unusual move, visited her grandson to leave a strange phone with him that Chelsea can use to contact her husband.

Tell Me This is Real
For the first time in forever, Adam’s face lights up and he literally grins when he sees Chelsea video calling him on the phone. The pair finally reconnects after so many long, lonely nights apart. Their joy is palpable as they speak openly without guards overhearing for the first time in weeks.

Sure, they face the possibility of a life as fugitives, but for now, just getting a small moment of intimacy over a video chat brings a happiness that had seemed forever lost. Hopefully, they reunite in person soon. This video call certainly teases what a passionate reunion that will be when it happens.
