The Week of August 4, 2025

At long last, Jess Walton is back as Jill Abbott on Tuesday, August 5. Look for the character to have a heated exchange with her TV son, Jason Thompson’s Billy. Walton made her last appearance on the show in November 2024.

Elizabeth Hendrickson has stepped into a new behind-the-scenes role at Y&R. The actress, who hasn’t been getting much screen time as Chloe Mitchell, shared the news on Instagram. She explained that after spending the last 18 months “in the booth, shadowing, observing and absorbing”, she’s now a director at the soap.  “On Tuesday, the 5th, my first episode will air. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did directing it,” reported Hendrickson.

A pair of actors have exited Y&R. Conner Floyd has been written off as Chance Chancellor. The character was shot dead last week. Floyd has played Chance since 2021.

In addition, Vincent Stalba is out as Carter. Cane’s (Billy Flynn) executive assistant took his own life after killing Chance and Damian (Jermaine Rivers).
