Y&R Casts Rory Gibson As The New Noah Newman

Sharon Rosales and Nick Newman’s son Noah Newman is coming back to The Young and the Restless story canvas and there’s a new actor playing the part. Daytime newcomer Rory Gibson is taking over the role previously played by Robert Adamson.

Rory Gibson Joins The Young and the Restless

Y&R says that Gibson will debut on the show later this fall. The actor’s credits include the television movies A Night to Regret and Twisted Twin. He’s also appeared in the films Grace and Severed Road.

Noah is Nick (Joshua Morrow) and Sharon’s (Sharon Case) firstborn child. His siblings are Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), Faith Newman (Reylynn Caster), Summer (Hunter King), and the late Cassie Newman (also played by Grimes). Noah last popped up on the show in September 2020 when he was played by Robert Adamson. He came home to check in on Sharon, who was battling cancer, before returning to his overseas job for Newman Enterprises.

All My Noah’s

Adamson joined the Y&R cast in 2012 replacing Kevin Schmidt in the part. Other actors who’ve played Noah since his 1997 debut include twins Samantha and Zachary Elkins, Hunter Preisendorfer, C.J. Hunter, Blake Michael Bryan, McKay Giller, Blake Woodruff, Chase Ellison, Hunter Allen, and Luke Kleintank.

Y&R’s Noah has seen plenty of drama throughout his life. He survived a premature birth after Sharon slipped and fell on some ice. Noah was old enough to understand what was happening when his beloved sister Cassie died and later, he endured his parents’ divorce. As he got older, Noah had some love interests including Eden Baldwin (Vanessa Marano), Adriana Chavez (Jhoanna Flores), Courtney Sloane (Kelli Goss), Marisa Sierras (Sofia Pernas), and Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).

Unlucky In Love

Alas, Rory Gibson’s Genoa City alter-ego hasn’t had much luck in the love department. Poor Courtney was killed on her and Noah’s wedding day. Noah and Marisa called off their engagement after her ex, Luca Santori (Miles Gaston Villanueva), re-entered her life. Tessa and Noah split after she developed feelings for Mariah. After finding out that Tessa was dating his sister, Noah left Genoa City to work for Newman Enterprises overseas.
