Max Page, formerly Reed Hellstrom on The Young and the Restless, recently underwent surgery to deal with a heart condition that he’s had since birth. Now, the young actor’s mom Jennifer is sharing an important update following her son’s procedure.
Max Page Is Out Of Surgery
“Max is settled in ICU,” Jennifer Page posted about her son. “We got one of our favorite nurses…Tomorrow he should be more awake and begin to walk, breath exercises and hopefully get chest tube out.
“We are grateful for many wins today – no bypass, no transfusions, no complications and no mom crying at hand off (that was a special request),” Page adds. “I also got to just hold his hand while the nurse wheeled him down the hall to pre op…one of my favorite moments with this tough young man…please keep prayers for smooth recovery…So proud of both my boys who had to be extra strong today in different ways… @maxpage7 @els_music_20.”
Prior to his surgery, Max put out a video message to his family, friends, and fans. “He feels your support!” Jennifer said. “Special thanks to @childrensla for always being ready for us…today we are praying for God’s POWER – PRESENCE- PROTECTION. And to keep it real #HollywoodHair.”
From Genoa City To A Galaxy Far, Far Away
From 2009-2015, Page played the role of Reed on Y&R, the adorable son of Victoria (Amelia Heinle) and J.T. (Thad Luckinbill). In 2011, Page gained a whole new audience after he appeared as a mini-Darth Vader in a car commercial that aired during the Super Bowl.
Since exiting Genoa City, Page’s credits have included One Mississippi, Secret Summer, and Between the Darkness. Y&R aged the role of Reed with actor Tristan Lake Leabu, who has played the part on and off ever since. Soap Hub sends positive vibes to Page for a continued recovery.
The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest that’s been posted on Y&R spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
