The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, August 30 is full of surprises, as Sharon realized Alice is involved in the sex ring, Noah discovered Tessa prefers Mariah to him, Victor suspected something is off about Zack, and Chelsea was on to Hilary.
How Conveeeeeenient!
When Sharon (Sharon Case) gave her baby, Cassie, up for adoption (this was before she knew there was a twin named Mariah), the infant was adopted by Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck).
Alice eventually grew bored with parenting and dumped Cassie on her own mother. When Sharon sued for custody, she won.
Now Cassie is dead. And of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, Alice just happened to walk into Nick’s (Joshua Morrow). Ok, she walks into The Underground in a small Wisconsin City.
Nick alerted Sharon, who chatted up the drunk — but seemingly financially well-off — Alice and, by the end of the evening, realized that she is somehow involved with the sex-trafficking ring Crystal is caught up in. This was all based on the car Alice is driving. (Sure hope it’s not a rental.)
Her Or Me
Noah (Robert Adamson) was surprised and sympathetic when Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) told him that Crystal is her sister. He was equally surprised, but much less sympathetic, when he learned that Tessa told Mariah (Camryn Grimes) before she told him.
Guess what else he’d be really surprised to learn about Tessa and Mariah. No, really. Guess.
Disappointing Diss
Victor (Eric Braeden) spent the evening pumping Zack (Ryan Ashton) for professional — and personal — details. He told Abby (Melissa Ordway) the guy seems on the up and up, but Victor hopes Zack won’t disappoint Abby. Meanwhile, Zack got a text from Alice. Those odds don’t look good, Vic…
Over the Hill(ary)
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) continued her plan to reunite Cane (Daniel Goddard) and Lily (Christel Khalil) — and win back Jordan (Darnell Kirkwood) for herself.
She tried pumping Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) for intel about Jordan’s past, but Chelsea wasn’t biting. So, Hilary suggested Cane should use the twins to worm his way back home.
