The Young and the Restless Recap: Neil Gets His Wish… Or So He Thinks!

The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Wednesday, June 6 features Phyllis, Billy, Nick, and Sharon dealing with a different Summer than they remember. At the same time Victor, takes aim at his son, while Neil meets his unexpected new neighbor.

Good Fences Make Good Neighbors
Neil (Kristoff St. John) was feeling good about outbidding Jack for Adam’s old apartment-until he learned that he’s not the only one moving in. Hilary (Mishael Morgan) is moving in, too – with Devon (Bryton James).

Neil tried to talk some sense into his son, while Hilary lamented to Mariah (Camryn Grimes) that Devon’s family will get in the way of her reunion with him.

Later, Hilary also faced disappointment, as Devon welcomes her to settle in… in the guest room.

Jailbird Not Jailbait
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) balked at bailing Summer (Hunter King) out of jail, but eventually did, and invited Nick (Joshua Morrow) over to discuss his daughter’s arrest for car theft.

Summer explained she didn’t steal the car. Her boyfriend gave it to her. To keep Summer from telling his wife about their affair.

Summer can’t believe how shocked her parents and their significant others are being about this, considering that Nick cheated on Sharon (Sharon Case) to be with Phyllis, and Phyllis was married to Jack (Peter Bergman) when she hooked up with Billy (Jason Thompson).

Summer also announced that she’s older and wiser – and plans to model herself on her mom. The woman her mom used to be. All sea-life better beware!

Lawyer Up!
Nick learned that Victor (Eric Braeden) hired Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) to represent him in his custody suit for Christian.

So, Nick hired Brittany. Sharon wondered why Nick was so worried about his chances, then realized it’s because of her. Victor is planning to use Sharon’s past again them.
