The Young and the Restless (YR) Recap: Lily Lies To Cane – Badly

The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Monday, January 29 has Mariah coming clean with Devon, Lily doing the opposite with Cane, Billy and Phyllis asking a new question of each other, Ashley accepting Victor’s offer – with a catch, and Nick making a stunning discovery.

Staying Friends
Noah (Robert Adamson) filled Devon (Bryton James) in on Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) and Mariah (Camryn Grimes), and Mariah confirmed. Devon was understanding, and the two agree to remained friends, even as Mariah confessed she and Tessa have no future.

Rain Check
Lily (Christel Khalil) took a meeting with Ashley, then lied to Cane (Daniel Goddard) that she was working late with Victoria, to keep from coming home to her husband – and his illegitimate child. Cane found out, and was unhappy about it, but kept this knowledge to himself.

Next Step
Helping Hilary (Mishael Morgan) pick a sperm donor for the baby she suddenly decided she must have, Billy (Jason Thompson) and Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) were forced to ask themselves – do they want a baby? They both agree that they totally don’t. They also didn’t mention that Phyllis is already a grandmother because…soap math.

Contract Negotiations
Ashley’s (Eileen Davidson) chat with Lily convinced her that she is willing to accept Victor’s (Eric Braeden) offer. As long as Newman can afford her. Victor said that they can.

He agreed to give her a seat on the board, the Chairman of Innovation title, and a generous budget. Oh, and he promised to handle Victoria (Amelia Heinle), who is not going to be happy.

Mr. Fix It
Nick (Joshua Morrow) promised Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) some renovations at their apartment. While he was knocking down the walls, he found a vent full of… cash. In the apartment of his girlfriend. A former con-artist. That doesn’t seem suspicious at all…
