The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Tuesday, October 3 features a game of double-agents, as Gloria fumes over Jack and Nikki — and entertains other offers, Sharon gives Alice a chance to get away as Zack targets his turncoat, and Victor can’t help taunting his son.
Sic Transit Gloria
Gloria (Judith Chapman) was enjoying her friends with benefits — and a nice, cushy job, too — with Jack (Peter Bergman) — until he threw her over for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott). Dina (Marla Adams) is pissed off over the relationship, and now Gloria is too.
This leaves her vulnerable to Victor’s suggestion that she might want to work for someone else. After all, Victor already employed Gloria’s son, Kevin (Greg Rikaart), to hack into Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) account and steal all the money Nick won from Victor.
But, like all criminals, Victor just can’t keep from gloating. He dropped a few clues Nick’s way, which twigged the Newman scion about who might be responsible.
Earlier, he traded barbs with Kevin, who is still holding Nick and Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) responsible for Chloe’s “suicide,” even though they’re actually living together secretly in Portland. Nick has good reason to get back at both Victor and Kevin now.
Alice Down the Rabbit Hole
For Cassie’s sake, Sharon (Sharon Case) gave Alice (Tamara Clatterbuck) a head start ahead of the police. Zack (Ryan Ashton) wasn’t feeling as generous. He sent Leon after his stool pigeon. Alice ran into traffic to get away from him — and gets mowed down.
Meanwhile, Paul (Doug Davidson) took Crystal into witness protection so she can help them track down who’s really responsible for the sex ring.
Coincidentally, Abby (Melissa Ordway) told Victor she feels Zack is hiding something. He told her she’ll figure it out. She’s a smart girl. Is she, really?
