The Days of Our Lives (DOOL) recap for Tuesday, October 3 features Sonny’s world rocked to the core because of Ben’s assertion that Will is still alive. But will he allow it to curtail his future?
Search For Answers
Sonny (Freddie Smith) was frustrated as Ben (Robert Scott Wilson) continued to stonewall him about Will (Chandler Massey). Sonny insisted on answers, and Ben seemed to enjoy playing with his mind – but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have an answer.
Yearning to Help
Paul (Christopher Sean) watched helplessly as Sonny dealt with Ben behind closed doors. He finally burst in as Ben told Sonny he announced this news now because Sonny was about to remarry – and he can’t since Will is alive.
Paul begged Sonny not to let him steal his happiness and asked him to marry him now. Sonny insisted to Paul he loves him, but he can’t go through with the wedding until he knows for sure about Will.
Rehashing the Day
Chad (Billy Flynn) and Abby (Marci Miller) stayed behind at the church and were dying to know what was happening as the police station. They remarked how happy they were with how Abby handled it – including how she stood up for herself and punched Ben.

What If’s
Marlena (Deidre Hall) and John (Drake Hogestyn) brainstormed about how it could possibly be true that Will is still alive, remembering what Stefano was capable of – but of course, Ben’s no Stefano.
Andre (Thaao Penghlis) tried to console Kate (Lauren Koslow), who was flipping out about all that happened. He suggested she wait to tell Lucas until they know more. She worried she ruined Lucas’s life, and Andre offered to have some men search for him, causing the prickly pair to share a warm moment.
New Beginnings
Abe (James Reynolds) called Hope (Kristian Alfonso) and told her that he wanted to meet with her and Rafe (Galen Gering) immediately. Then he told them who he picked off-screen but said congratulations looking from one to the other to further fake us out. Finally the new commissioner was revealed to be Hope. Yay?
Needing Answers
After Sonny left, JJ went to see Ben and asked if Will’s alive like he said, what about his other victims like Paige and Serena? Ben said Paige is worm food and then laughed in his face. Enraged, JJ pointed his gun at Ben’s head. In the police station. Obviously this will not end well.
