Who’s the Toughest Mom in Genoa City?

Powerful moms abound throughout Genoa City on The Young and the Restless. Sure, they’ll occasionally meddle and offer unsolicited advice, frustrating their children to no end.

Yet, each and every one of them has one thing in common: they’re a mighty force to be reckoned with — particularly when it comes to protecting and standing up for one of their kids.

From Jill to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and every mother in between, they’re a fierce bunch of dames. Soap Hub asked who’s the toughest mom on The Young and the Restless.

Jill 

Mama Jill (Jess Walton) rules, according to 64% of you. You love her strong relationships with Billy and Cane and how she’s not afraid to stand up to them when she feels they’re messing up their lives.

You also admire that she’s still a vital force in the business world. Considering she started out as a manicurist, she’s come a long way. That makes you appreciate her more than ever.

Nikki

While she’s overcome plenty of personal issues in her life like alcoholism and MS, she’s still managed to be there for her kids when it really counts. She works hard to never choose favorites and help each of her children as individuals.

Her relationships with her kids and grandkids are commendable. Heck, young Faith would rather live with Nikki than her own mom! But it’s Nikki’s ability to stand beside Victor (Eric Braeden) without losing her own identity – and occasionally putting him in his place — that really impresses you.

Gloria
Gloria (Judith Chapman) is synonymous with the words “tough mom,” say 15% of you. She gets knocked down, time and time again, but she always picks herself up, dusts herself off, and claws her way back to the top.

While sons Michael and Kevin often prefer loving her from afar, they always know they can count on Gloria to have their back. She’s a bonafide lioness, who’ll do anything to protect her cubs.

Other Mothers
The finally 1% of votes were divided between a few GC ladies. Phyllis, Sharon, and Chelsea led the pack. You think each of them is a ferocious force and a top notch mom.
