The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, May 2 promise Victor reverting to type – you got that? Plus, Kyle makes a promise to Lola. Hey, remember last month, when he was making promises to Summer? Summer does. Lola should, too.

Victor (Eric Braeden) took a humanity break recently. He actually thanked Jack (Peter Bergman) for calling to tell him about Neil’s (Kristoff St. John) death.
He delivered a lovely eulogy, which wasn’t all about him — or full of threats. He interacted pleasantly with Victoria (Amelia Heinle), Nick (Joshua Morrow), and Abby (Melissa Ordway), without telling them everything they were doing wrong with their lives.
That’s all over now. Victor is back doing what Victor does best — lying to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) about where he’s going, what he’s doing, and why he’s doing it.

He was about to tell Nikki about the Las Vegas psychiatrist bills but then changed his mind. Maybe the newly-returning Chelsea (Melissa Claire Eagan) can shed some light on the matter — for all of us.
Especially because something tells us Chelsea knew who she was running to when she decided to run.
Promises, Promises
As far as Kyle (Michael Mealor) is concerned, everything in his life is going splendidly. He informed Summer (Hunter King) he’d be divorcing her, and no, she doesn’t get a say in the matter. And of course, that means no Jabot job for her, either.
He told Lola (Sasha Calle) they’d be getting back together, and set up a surprise tropical scene for her on the room (isn’t it chilly in Wisconsin at this time of the year).

As they prepare to have sex for the first time – assuming Kyle can ignore the scar that’s only there because Summer saved Lola’s life – Kyle makes Lola a promise. It’s all about love and the future and eternity.
Just like he promised Summer. When they exchanged wedding vows…Should Lola be listening to Kyle and his promises?
After all, Kyle did tell Summer he was thinking about Lola when he said those vows? Is Kyle a trustworthy kinda guy. We hope so.
