The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, May 1 features the ushering in of the new month with Cane making a decision about how to respond to Lily — which Traci used to her advantage.
Plus, Kyle and Lola planned for the future, Mariah got a glimpse at how things were going to be with Tessa, and Devon got a shock from the past.
Jill (Jess Walton) wasn’t pleased that Cane (Daniel Goddard) had been getting advice from Traci (Beth Maitland), but both agreed they wanted the best for him.
Cane revealed that Lily left without even saying goodbye, and re-sent their divorce papers. He called to say he’d always love her… but won’t bother her again.
Meanwhile, Traci uses Cane’s heartbreak as inspiration for her new novel. Something doesn’t seem right about that.
Kyle (Michael Mealor) arranged a special surprise for Lola (Sasha Calle), as she fretted about having sex for the first time. After Lola imagined everything that could go wrong, Abby (Melissa Ordway) reassured her.
Did Kyle give any thought to how he’d feel when he saw Lola’s surgery scar…and remembered she was only alive thanks to Summer (Hunter King).
Ana (Loren Lott) showed Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) some new looks she’s considering to relaunch her music career. Mariah (Camryn Grimes) feared Tessa’s essence will be lost. Ana said to focus on the music, and Mariah was excited to hear what Tessa would do in the recording studio.
Ana politely informed her the recording studio was for artists, musicians, and producers. Not girlfriends. Mariah pretended she didn’t mind.
Devon (Bryton James) and Elena (Brytni Sharpy) were discussing Jett getting back into performing. She told him she lost her own mom recently and didn’t like talking about it. Later, Elena laughed and it reminds Devon of Hilary (Mishael Morgan).
