The Young and the Restless fans are not a patient lot.
Dylan (Steve Burton) is barely out the door and his family is still weeping, but you’re already thinking about who should be Sharon’s (Sharon Case) next leading man. Almost 3,000 fans offered their match-making opinions below.
Nick-Knackered
It’s important to always have a fall-back plan. And Sharon’s backup plan is always. always — did we say always — Nick (Joshua Morrow). They fell in love in high school, they suffered through Noah’s (Robert Adamson) premature birth, getting Cassie (Camryn Grimes) back from her adoptive mother, their respective affairs, and Faith’s (Alyvia Alyn Lind) getting switched at birth. They married and divorced and married and divorced and… isn’t it time to start the cycle all over again?
It seems 48% of you certainly think so. Who cares if Nick is currently circling Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan)? Sharon has sads. And when Sharon has sads, Nick comes running.
Jack Be Quick
Why go out and meet someone new when you can push the rewind button and go down your list of romantic greatest hits? Sharon helped Jack (Peter Bergman) win a State Senate seat (not that he could hold onto it for long), and they worked well together on Restless Style. They split up after Jack helped frame Victor (Eric Braeden) for murder… like that would ever stick. But that was over a decade ago! At least 20% of viewers think this relationship could use another chance. And it’s not like this attractive, wealthy, and funny guy has any other prospects…
Silly Shilly Billy
The bulk of Sharon and Billy’s (Jason Thompson) previous relationship took place while she was in the throes of kleptomania and a mental breakdown. But hey — he was a whole different man then! Still 16% of fans want to see what this Shilly pairing might bring.
All Neil
Damaged men seem to be Sharon’s thing (then again are there any other kind on soaps?). And Neil (Kristoff St. John) is as damaged as anyone. Then again, he and Sharon have yet to damage each other so that goes in the plus column for 15% of fans.
