ABC regaining their rights to All My Children and One Life to Live means Pine Valley and Llanview favorites can, once again, cross over into Port Charles. The first such guest appearance will be Hillary B. Smith, bringing her OLTL legal eagle, Nora Buchanan, to General Hospital. Are fans excited?

I’m With Her
Welcome — won’t you stay a while? It seems 73% of fans are delighted to see Nora, and think she’ll really shake up the canvas. Just imagine her demonstrating for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) what a strong, independent, woman lawyer who doesn’t go weak in the knees the minute a cute mobster pays her a modicum of attention looks like.

Anticipate her going toe-to-toe with Diane (Carolyn Hennessy) — then going out for tequila shots afterward. Maybe she’ll bring her daughter, Rachel, to town and give Port Charles a two-fer of racial and religious diversity. But she’ll probably want to keep her distance from Franco (Roger Howarth).

Something about the allegedly reformed psycho is bound to bring up bad memories. Maybe, if she won’t listen to anyone else, Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) will listen to Nora about why she’s got a bad feeling about the guy….

No Room Left At the Inn
Nora may be a nifty chick, but the last OLTL influx didn’t exactly go over very well. Neither did the second wave, when they all pretended to be someone else. Or that 500th time Michael Easton came back.

So 27% of you think Port Charles is already stuffed to the rafters, with long-time GH born-and-bred favorites hardly getting any airtime. Anybody see Monica (Leslie Charleston) lately? Nora would only be taking precious minutes away from them. What ABC should really do is bring back OLTL, and then they can give Nora… and all her co-stars all the time they deserve… somewhere else.
