What Do You Want to See for Reed?

Reed is a confused teenager on The Young and the Restless, searching for direction to his life.

Since arriving in Genoa City, he’s been at constant odds with his mom, Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and had a hard time fitting in with his peers. The only time Reed seems comfortable and at peace is when he’s playing his guitar and singing.

That’s why Victoria finally relented and allowed her grounded son to perform at Underground’s Open Mic Night. Soap Hub asked fans of The Young and the Restless what you’d like to see for the confused teenager, and over 6,000 of you weighed in on the subject.

GC Rock Star
Exactly half of you, some 50%, are hoping Reed becomes a genuine Genoa City rock star. You’d love to see him follow in the footsteps of Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), eventually performing at concerts around town and maybe even cutting an album. He’s a talented young man, and music is definitely his calling. That should be his main focus moving forward.

Get His Act Together and Ditch Zoey
Before Reed (Tristan Lake Leabu) can move on with any sort of a career, he needs to get his act together, say 47% of you. That means no more lying to his mother or Internet shenanigans and ditching Zoey. Reed’s still a kid, who needs to focus on school, first and foremost. They’ll be plenty of time for everything else down the line.

Decide Music Isn’t for Him
Some 2% of you aren’t enjoying the direction of Reed’s storyline, so far. You’d prefer he decide music isn’t for him and ditch singing at The Underground. Instead, you think the soap should explore a high school story with Reed, Zoey, and some of their other classmates. That would be much more compelling to you than Open Mic Night.

Not Sure
The remaining 1% of you feel you don’t know Reed well enough to weigh in quite yet. So far, you’re enjoying his bonding scenes with former stepfather Billy (Jason Thompson) best, and his tender moments with grandmother Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) are a close second. But you realize he’s going to have to branch out with kids his own age, eventually.
