The Young and the Restless (YR) recap for Thursday, August 2nd features Devon learning Lily is the cause of Hilary’s death. Plus, Victor gathered his family to tell him how wonderful he is, and Billy iced Phyllis out of his professional life.
A Splintered Family
Cane (Daniel Goddard) tried to convince Devon (Bryton James) that Shauna (Camryn Hamm) doesn’t know what she’s saying when she accused Lily (Christel Khalil) of killing Hilary (Mishael Morgan) by running a red light.
Charlie (Noah Alexander Gerry) backed Shauna up, and admitted Cane wanted them to keep quiet.
Devon railed at Lily, who swore she only took her eyes off the road for a minute – and, anyway, it was Hilary’s fault for letting Shauna and Charlie hook up at her unsupervised apartment.
Devon told his sister to go back to her family – he doesn’t have one anymore.
Across the hall, Neil (Kristoff St. John) blamed Cane for lying, when Cane pointed out Lily could be in legal trouble for this. Does her dad want to see her in prison?
Every Day Is Father’s Day
Victor (Eric Braeden) threw a party for Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria (Amelia Heinle), and Summer (Hunter King) to tell them how much he values them, but it naturally turned into multiple odes to how amazing Victor is.
Nonetheless, Nikki wasn’t ready to concede to her family remaining splintered forever.
Nick (Joshua Morrow) invited Victoria to join him at his new company. She turned him down, but the siblings were able to make some level of amends.
Stay Out
Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) worried that Billy (Jason Thompson) is gambling again, but found him about to have a meeting at Jabot. She wondered if this is about Fenmore’s, but Billy assured her everything is fine… and closed the door in her face.
