The Young and the Restless Recap, Wednesday, July 17: Kevin Strikes Back

The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, July 17 features Kevin plotting against Adam — as Michael fretted. Plus, Nick prepared for the custody suit, Phyllis made plans of her own, and Cane and Traci took Manhattan!

Adam (Mark Grossman) ordered Kevin (Greg Rikaart) to deliver an envelope to the judge who will be ruling on Adam’s custody case against Nick (Joshua Morrow). When Kevin balked, Adam recited Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) current address.

Kevin talked to Chloe and tells her it’s almost time for the two of them to be together again. Michael (Christian J. LeBlanc) stopped by and warned Kevin not to try and take down Adam on his own. Kevin assured his brother he wouldn’t do that…then took pictures of the contents on Adam’s envelope.

However, Michael was happy to help Nick take down Adam. They planned their strategy for Christian’s custody hearing. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) told Adam he was being a terrible father to Christian by trying to disrupt the little boy’s life.

When Nick threatened Adam, Adam told him Phyllis already did. Nick found it interesting that Adam’s CEO seems to be against him on this.

When Billy (Jason Thompson) was nasty to Phyllis about siding with Adam, she assured him she has a plan to bring her boss down. Billy hoped it would happen soon.

The book that Traci (Beth Maitland) wrote in a few weeks — then again, it was short enough for her to read the entire thing to Cane (Daniel Goddard) during a commercial break — has seemingly already been submitted to her publishing house, accepted, paid for, copy-edited, cover designed, and printed, just in time for them to throw a costume ball to celebrate Traci’s latest best-seller.

She and Cane went dressed as Flynn and Velma and discussed how wonderful Traci is. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
