The Young and the Restless Rants and Raves: Taking It To The Next Level

It’s time for Soap Hub to let it all out and tell you what we absolutely loved–and totally hated–on The Young and the Restless (YR) this past week.

Rave
– Way to go, Y&R, on the sensitive way Mariah’s confusion about her sexuality is being played out. Actress Camryn Grimes deserves kudos for her incredibly vulnerable performance as Mariah, as does Cait Fairbanks (Tessa).

Here’s hoping this isn’t stuck in that vault but rather the beginning of what could turn out to be a truly touching story.

Rant
– Cane (Daniel Goddard) started out as a liar, but the character turned around his con-artist ways when he fell for Lily. Suddenly, he did a 180, becoming super jealous of Billy (why—his life was in a shambles!) and determined to destroy him. Sure, it’s made Cane a bit more interesting but it came out of nowhere.
