It’s time for Soap Hub to let it all out and tell you what we absolutely loved–and totally hated–on General Hospital (GH) this past week.
Rant:
Really, GH, you had to make Hayden (Rebecca Budig) a hit-and-run-drunk-driver who never paid for her crime and left a child paralyzed for life. After two years of trying to redeem the character?
Is this so we just don’t care when you set her up in a great coupling, get her pregnant, and then summarily toss her off the show?
And Sam (Kelly Monaco), you just got out of a coma and you look like you just finished got out of the shower and just didn’t put on makeup yet. Like, you had a seizure and were DYING, but then you’re flirting with Jason to join you in the hospital bed five minutes after being extubated? AMAZING!!!

Oh, and Michael (Chad Duell) and Nelle (Chloe Lanier). Just go away. They can’t revise this story to make you brother and sister anymore since they put you in bed together, so just–go away.
Rave:
Spencer, don’t go away. We know you’ve been horrible to your grandmother by constantly running away and defying her (and then getting yourself kidnapped), but hey, she didn’t really give you a chance to grieve your father, so we get it. We do.
That is why we are raving about Nicholas Bechtel pulling at our heartstrings this past week as he asked if Laura even loves him anymore. Really? Did YOUR hearts not melt, too? Well, they should have.
Genie Francis has also been turning in stellar performance after stellar performance this summer like she always can. So, thanks GH is giving her better material than sitting around getting her nails done with Lulu and dealing with Brad’s hospital problems.
