In their brief interactions on The Young and the Restless (YR), there’s been a definite spark between Phyllis and Scott.
The twosome are both single, and they even have Lauren’s blessing. She actually posed the idea of Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) dating Scott.
Phyllis, however, thought that she and Scott should look elsewhere for love, perhaps sensing how weird and awkward things could become, if she actually got involved with her bestie’s son. Soap Hub asked fans to weigh in this improbable coupling. Here’s what you had to say.
No, It’s Not Right
Lauren (Tracey Bregman) might be all for her son dating her best friend Phyllis, but 59% of Y&R fans think it’s just not right.
The two ladies have been pals for years, and now they’re happily working together. Bringing Scott into the picture as Phyllis’s new beau would be a big mistake and complicate things all the way around.
Plus, you didn’t think Phyllis would feel comfortable bedding Lauren’s son but after seeing him in that towel, you realize that folly. Still, there are plenty of other single men and women in town. Phyllis and Scott should both look elsewhere.
Maybe, But It Will Blow Up
Some 23% of you are intrigued by the idea of Scott and Phyllis together but think the couple would end up blowing up for a few reasons. First, there’s the pair’s uncomfortable connection to Lauren. Then, there’s Jack (Peter Bergman), who’s sure to have plenty to say about his ex-wife dating Lauren’s son.
It’s bound to get under Phyllis’s skin and rev up her insecurities. Scott’s alliance with Victor (Eric Braeden) won’t help things either, considering how much Phyllis and her ex father-in-law hate each other. Too many forces are working against the duo.
Yes, They’re Cute Together
After seeing Phyllis and Scott (Daniel Hall) get hot and heavy (okay so they were drunk but still…), 18% of you think they have that “it” factor and would make a great couple. The pair have definitely connected on a mental level, and they sure have plenty of physical chemistry, too. You’re hoping the duo throw caution to the wind and start dating — even when sober.
