Lauren’s eldest son, Scott, is heading home to Genoa City on The Young and the Restless.
The character grew up off camera and spent his formative years in boarding school, before resurfacing in 2005. At the time, Scott was a college student and teacher’s assistant, who was pursuing his master’s degree.
It turned out one of his students was Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown), the crazed nurse who kidnapped him as a baby and tormented Lauren for years.
Having put all that baggage behind him, he’s now a grown man ready to move on with his life in Genoa city. Soap Hub asked fans if you’re excited to have Scott back in town.
Yes, Bring on Scott
Anything that means more screen time for the Baldwin clan is great news. So 74% of you are delighted about the prospect of Scott’s return. You feel there’s lots of story to explore between Lauren (Tracey Bregman) and her son.
After all, she didn’t spend much time with him when he was growing up. So he could be resentful, particularly since younger brother Fen got a lot more hands-on attention.
It could be interesting to have mother and son work out their issues, while exploring Scott’s relationship with his stepdad, Michael (Christian LeBlanc).
Not Sure Yet
About a quarter of fans, some 26%, aren’t quite sure what to expect. He’s never been around much, so you don’t really know much about Scott (Daniel Hall) or what kind of man he is.
As a result, you don’t know how you feel about his return. But you’re certainly hoping he adds some spice to Genoa City, not to mention Lauren and Michael’s lives.
