Hilary presented Devon with divorce papers on The Young and the Restless, insisting she doesn’t want a penny of the billionaire’s money.
The legal papers made it official, yet Devon (Bryton James) somehow doubted his estranged wife was really ready to walk away from his huge fortune. In order to test Hilary, Devon ordered a cashier’s check for $250 million dollars made out in Hilary’s name.
Hilary, of course, can attempt to prove she’s on the up-and-up by ripping it up when Devon presents her with it. Will that be just the thing Hilary can do to redeem herself with Devon? Soap Hub posed the question to fans and over 7,000 of you responded.
No, Devon’s Done with Her
Hilary (Mishael Morgan) walking away from millions – or in this case 250 of them – isn’t going to change a thing for Devon, say 51% of you. He’s finally seen the light regarding his duplicitous wife, and there’s no turning back. He’s tired of being played for a fool. When he says he’s totally done with Hilary and ready to move on, he really means it. Perhaps Hilary may want to reconsider leaving all those bucks behind. Otherwise, she could truly be left with nothing.
Yes, That’s What He Needs
According to 48% of you, Hilary will be able to redeem herself, and it’s exactly what Devon wants and needs. His feelings for Hilary haven’t miraculously disappeared just because she betrayed him, again. Deep down, he still loves her desperately. Devon wants nothing more than for Hilary to turn over a new leaf, so that they can reconcile and start working on that family they’ve both been dreaming about.
Somewhere in Between
A small 1% of fans aren’t sure what’s up with Hilary. You can’t decide if she’s for real, when she says she’s willing to walk away from Devon’s millions, or just using it as a ploy to win him back. Then again, she’s really gambling with a lot of money, if he does end up rebuffing her. It’s a tough call.
