On The Young and the Restless, Chelsea is harboring a whopper of a secret when it comes to baby Christian.
Nick believes the little boy is his biological son with his late wife, Sage. However, that’s not the case. The child is actually the product of a one-night-stand Sage had with the late Adam Newman (Justin Hartley), Nick’s brother. Chelsea knows the truth and so does Victor (Eric Braeden), who convinced her to keep the information secret, insisting that Adam would want his brother to raise his son. But how long can Chelsea really keep quiet about a secret of this magnitude?
She’ll Talk, If She’s Forced To
So far, Chelsea’s been doing a good job of keeping mum with relatively no guilt whatsoever. That’s why 49% of you believe she’ll only talk if she’s forced to. Most of you are expecting the soap to go the route that most shows do when there’s a paternity secret: a medical crisis for baby Christian that will entail his doctors needing to know all pertinent information about him. Then and only then do you believe Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) would ‘fess up.
She’ll Keep Quiet
There’s no reason for Chelsea to breathe a word about Christian’s paternity to anyone, according to 36% of fans. That’s why you’re convinced she will take this secret to her grave. Nick is elated to have his “son” back. He has a reason to live again, and there’s absolutely no reason to burst his bubble.
She’ll Tell All
The pressure of keeping this secret will eventually be too much for Chelsea to bear, especially as she grows closer to Nick. Once she reaches her breaking point, 15% of you believe she’ll open up to Nick (Joshua Morrow) and reveal that Christian is Adam’s biological son. At that point, however, you’re expecting Nick to keep mum, since he already considers the tyke his child.
