On The Young and the Restless, when Adam first returned from the dead, Chelsea was terrified of him. Then, after he helped her nurse a sick Conner back to health, she decided they were soulmates. Then, after deciding that he was still in love with Sharon (Sharon Case), Chelsea vowed to destroy Adam and take off with Conner. Stable relationship.
But Adam (Mark Grossman) is onto Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) now, and it’s gearing up to possibly be a fight to the death. Who will win? What viewers have to say about that:
Adam is a Newman, 53% explain patiently, which means he always wins. If he can’t figure out how to do it himself, then Victor (Eric Braeden) will do it for him. Especially since Conner (Judah Mackey) is involved. All Newman grandchildren must be raised by Newman parents – and grandparents. You got that?
A smaller 37% of the audience doesn’t think there can be a winner. Chelsea and Adam are equally matched, equally motivated, and equally destructive. If they have to ruin Conner to save him, so be it. And the same goes for anyone unfortunate enough to get into their path. The best thing the people of Genoa City can do is just stay away. These two have Mutually Assured Destruction written all over them.
Only 10% of the fans expect Chelsea to come out on top, but those who do have a good reason: Adam tends to attack people head-on. Chelsea is more crafty. She plays the long con, and she’s had a lot of practice with it.
She’s the one who set up Adam for Rey’s (Jordi Vilasuso) attempted murder. He has to disengage himself from that before he can take her on. And by then, Chelsea plans to be long gone. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
