Why We Need More Imani Benedict On Young and the Restless

Imani Benedict On Young and the Restless
 Comments

It was heartbreaking for Amanda Sinclair to find out that her twin sister, Hilary Curtis Hamilton, had died in a tragic car accident without having the chance to meet her. It was sad to think she’d never have any family, after having grown up in foster care. But then she discovered Naya Benedict and her daughter Imani Benedict — and Young and the Restless fans are all the better for it.

Young and the Restless Sister Act

Imani (Leigh-Ann Rose) was having none of it when she learned she had an older sister in Amanda (Mishael Morgan) and made sure the other woman knew she wanted her to stay away from her family. But that was a while ago and slowly but surely, Amanda appears to have won over her sister — so much so, she invited her to be a partner in her new law firm.

While the turnaround in her attitude was welcomed, it’s hard to know if it’s completely sincere. Imani wants what she wants and she aims to get it, which makes her a pretty exciting character to watch. She seems to want Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic), and she had no problem showing that in front of his current squeeze, Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy).

While things have been flowing smoothly for the two doctors after they reunited, Imani is just the one to add some spice to their rather tame relationship. Sure, they started their affair by cheating on others so there was a lot of Young and the Restless drama, but that seems to have been ironed out. Their other halves have hooked up — Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) and Amanda, and everyone is happy. Too happy.

That’s where Imani comes in — she could rock the foundation for either couple. She could shake down many in Genoa City as a lawyer. She wants to know all the tea and presses people to tell their secrets with no backing down — and we are so here for it! Genoa City needs someone on hand who will stir the pot — and Imani Benedict is just the right woman to do it!
