The battle for Chancellor Park — and the preservation of Katherine’s memory — is in full swing on The Young and the Restless! The question is–who will emerge victorious?
Soap Hub asked if you think that Nick will succeed in preserving the park or if Victor, who’s looking at things from a business perspective, will win out in the end?
St. Nick
The majority of you, 87%, think that Nick (Joshua Morrow) and his allies will win in their fight to keep Chancellor Park intact. To Nick, Nikki, and so many others, the park represents what Katherine stood for — people from all walks of life being able to come together and enjoy the beautiful scenery and nature.
Katherine didn’t especially have a particularly close relationship with Nick, but she did with his mother Nikki. It’s not only for Katherine’s memory, but also Nikki and Kay’s friendship why Nick is being so passionate about this battle.
Victor, Victorious
Veteran Y&R viewers know that Victor tends to win and win often. With this in mind, 13% of you feel that Victor and Victoria will win out and get their land development up and running.
Victor’s justification is that there will be a mention of Katherine within the new development so her memory will be preserved. But Nick just sees this as a token, one that won’t represent and honor Katherine the way she deserves to be remembered.
Signs Point To Nikki
A mysterious bidder won the rights to the land that’s home to Katherine’s memorial. Who could it be? Jill probably has the funds, but she’s not on the canvas right now.
Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) is a likely suspect in that she has confessed to Victoria that she, shall we say, “appropriated” some funds of Victor’s and put them into an off-shore account.
That’s just the type of capital a person would need if they wanted to make a large purchase. If the funds were taken illegally, then the purchase is in jeopardy. Will the good guys prevail and keep Katherine’s memory alive? Or will greed win the day? Stay tuned to find out!
