On The Young and the Restless, everyone assumes Chance wasn’t the target in his own shooting. He just leaped in to save the life of the real victim to be, Adam (Mark Grossman).

The Young and the Restless Polling

Now, Adam isn’t exactly the most popular boy in Genoa City, but who would actually go through the trouble of getting a gun, putting on a fetching, all-black ensemble, climbing to the roof of a building (and somehow knowing that Adam would be there), and aiming for him – badly.

Paul (Doug Davidson) and Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) think they know. But what about the fans?

It’s Never the Obvious Suspect

Paul and Rey have fingered Billy (Jason Thompson) as the bad guy. It was his gun, after all. And there’s the minor detail that Billy has tried to kill Adam before, in revenge for Adam accidentally running down Billy’s daughter, Delia. But Billy was an evil gum-chewer then. And he swears he’s gotten over his split personality homicidal tendencies after taking a nap. It was basically a cold. And over just as quickly.

The Other Woman

Delia was Chloe’s (Elizabeth Hendrickson) daughter, too. And Chloe has also tried to kill Adam before. Even more times than Billy. Sure, she was busy coming home from the hospital with her newborn son, Miles, at the time. But wouldn’t that only remind her more of the daughter she lost? What if Chloe went Mama Bear – with a gun?

Love Of My Life

Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) broke up with Adam when she decided his need to destroy Victor was bad for their son, Connor (Judah Mackey). What if Chelsea decided that Adam was bad for Connor, period. And decided to put an end to it, once and for all.

Remember Me?

Hey, remember Alyssa? Adam’s childhood friend? Whom he screwed over and threatened? Yeah, she mysteriously left town to find more dirt on Adam for Billy. And was never heard from again. She’s not a contract player. That makes her more likely to be the shooter than any other factor. What do you think? Tell us in the poll below.
