The Young and the Restless makes it clear on a daily basis that Victor is the best father who has ever fathered. If his children don’t agree, well, then they’re just not paying attention.

The Young and the Restless Polling

But who is Victor’s (Eric Braeden) favorite child? Almost 2,000 fans have been paying attention. And they have some pretty strong opinions on the subject:

Adam, Adam, Adam

A winning 72% have no problem pointing the finger at Adam (Mark Grossman). Sure, Victor feels guilty for leaving Adam to be raised by his mother and stepfather, which led to 11-year-old Adam committing murder.

But it’s not just guilt talking here. It’s the fact that even as he rages against Victor – and periodically tries to kill him – Adam, nonetheless, makes it clear that Victor is at the center of his universe. No one else matters more than Dad. Something that can’t be said about the other Newman kids. And that’s what makes Adam the favorite… no matter what.

Daddy’s Girl

A much smaller 17% of the audience believes Victor’s first-born will always hold the key spot in his heart. Victoria’s the one that Nick (Joshua Morrow) is always saying is the most like him – though he doesn’t mean it as a compliment, and Victor sees it. Even if he doesn’t always like it, he always admires her choice of role models.

Stolen Sperm

Only 7% went with Abby (Melissa Ordway), the daughter Victor didn’t mean to have, and wouldn’t have, if Ashley (Eileen Davidson) hadn’t helped herself to some of his “genetic material” – and not the usual way, either. Abby was the bonus baby. And she’s disappointed him the least… so far.

Sexy Scion Nick

Nick should have been Victor’s greatest creation. His firstborn son! Yet Nick insisted on having a mind of his own. Which explains why only 4% picked him as Vic’s fave. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
