The Young and the Restless has been airing classic episodes the last few weeks in light of the show running out of original episodes. That happened due to production ceasing because of the coronavirus pandemic. Alas, some of those episodes have been interrupted with news updates. But now there’s some good news to share!
YR has announced on its official Twitter account that the classic episodes are now being made available on CBS.com and on CBS All Access.
“Good News!,” tweeted @YRInsider. “All of the #YR Classics that have aired so far are now available on CBS.com and CBS All Access!”
“Good news since most of us only get a half-hour because of Governor’s news conference every day !!!” tweeted Los Angeles-area longtime YR viewer Toni Veltri. Indeed, the soap has been pre-empted in several places with fans missing these classics.
Recently, YR has re-aired the masquerade ball and Chris (Lauralee Bell) and Paul’s (Doug Davidson) honeymoon. Viewers have also been treated to theme weeks featuring Katherine Chancellor (the late Jeanne Cooper) and Victor (Eric Braeden) and Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott) love story.
Next week, The Young and the Restless will air even more classic episodes with many well-known “foes.” Featured will be Jill (Jess Walton) and Katherine from a 1998 episode; Victor returning to Genoa City after being presumed dead in 1993; Nikki and Sharon (Sharon Case) squaring off in a show from 2012; and Ashley (Eileen Davidson) caught in the war between Newman and Jabot in an episode from 1999.
Last, but not least, Lily (Christel Khalil) gives Hilary (Mishael Morgan) a rude awakening in a show from 2014. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
