The Young and the Restless has some of the hottest eligible bachelors in daytime. They’re good-looking, they’re rich, and they’re even nice! So why are so many of them sitting home alone? Or, worse…on the back burner?
Young and the Restless Man About Town
Let’s start with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman). He is a multi-millionaire. He is a man of a…certain age (i.e. the age when women seriously start outnumbering men). He looks like, well, Peter Bergman. He has a big family home where he is often the only one in residence — it comes with staff. Who are invisible!
Both of his sons live out of town, so not underfoot. And yet, this amazing catch has to beg women to pay attention to him, then slink off when they don’t. What bizarro world is this?
Y&R: Two Choices
Jack’s onetime stepson, Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) is also rich. Sure, he opted out of working for multi-millionaire Daddy so he could only be a run-of-the-mill millionaire.
And he does have younger children with whom he is very involved. But that’s a plus! He’s a caring dad. And yet, once again, this hot prospect seems to think he can only ping-pong between his two ex-wives. Seems he hasn’t heard about all those other fish in the sea.
Young and the Restless: Spoken For
Yes, hot, sexy Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) isn’t a millionaire. He’s only a doctor. And, yes, technically, he is in a relationship with Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy). But their entire storyline seems to consist of talking about buying lamps. Even actually buying lamps would be more exciting. Give this man a story!
Y&R: Junior Edition
Now we’re back to millionaires. And this guy is young and hot on top of it. Yet, Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) would rather pine for the girl who doesn’t want him — she’s engaged to his sister! — than fight off the hundreds who would do anything to be with him. Must be his dad Nick’s influence.
