Victor Newman continues to confound The Young and the Restless fans. First, he announced he was stepping back from Newman Enterprises in order to spend more time with Nikki Newman.

The Young and the Restless Polling

Then he made his children, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), practically fight to the death before he announced whom he’d be handing the company over to. Victoria won — by blackmailing Daddy. So Victor (Eric Braeden) bought Adam a media company.

Then he sold the company to Victoria. Then he told her she had to keep Adam on. Then he hired lawyer Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) to dig up dirt on Victoria’s new husband — and business partner — Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi). What is The Mustache up to? Almost 5,000 viewers took their best guess:

Y&R: To Protect and Serve

An optimistic 42% of you assume that anything Victor does, he does to protect his family. Which, in this case, means protecting Victoria from Ashland’s inevitable machinations. The man was known as The Locke Ness Monster for how ruthless he could be in business. And Victor doesn’t expect his precious baby girl to be able to handle a manly man like that all by her witty bitty girlie self!

Young and the Restless: Render Onto Ceaser

Victor is bored and he wants his job back, a more cynical 39% of the audience predicts. No one can run the company he founded as well as Victor could. He gave it a shot, but everyone has been a disappointment to him. So now it’s time to get back what’s rightfully his.

Y&R: Bait and Switch

Only 19% believe that this is Victor’s way of replacing Victoria with Adam as CEO. Adam is scared of his father and tends to do whatever Victor says. Victoria has lately developed a mind of her own and, worse, she listens to her husband over her father. That will not be tolerated.
