This isn’t the first time Nicholas Newman and Phyllis Summers have split up on The Young and the Restless. They try and try to stay away from each other, but all roads tend to lead back to each other.

A winning 62% are convinced the end has finally come. Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) admitted she can’t stand Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) family. Nick admitted he can’t keep ignoring that – or Phyllis’s tendency to fly completely off the handle over the most minor things. This was always a case of opposites attracting, as Noah Newman (Rory Gibson) observed. And, in the end, they just didn’t have enough in common.

A much smaller 19% isn’t filling out Nick’s change of address quite yet. He always comes back to Phyllis. And he will always come back to Phyllis. This wasn’t even a fight they had. It was just the way their relationship works. Or doesn’t.

Man Wants Woman
Phyllis will move on, 12% predict – she’s been grooming a love-smitten Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) for weeks. And then Nick will realize what he lost and go after her with everything he’s got. The only time Nick seems to want Phyllis is when he realizes someone else wants her, too.
Woman Wants Young and the Restless Man
A little more than half the above number, 7%, see it the opposite way: Nicholas will move on. Didn’t Noah also just point out that he never got over Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case)? And Phyllis will be the one to go chasing after him. The only time Phyllis seems to want Nick is when she realizes someone else wants him, too. She won’t be happy if that person is Sharon. But can you just imagine how Phyllis might react if that person is…Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope)?
