This Scene Had Christian LeBlanc Cracking Up Young and the Restless Co-Star Michelle Stafford

Christian LeBlanc and Michelle Stafford are just as close as they’re The Young and the Restless characters Michael and Phyllis. The real-life pals enjoy working together whenever they get the chance. However, sometimes it’s hard to get through a scene.

She Couldn’t Contain Herself

Michael and Phyllis’ friendship has spanned over two decades. No matter what life throws at them, they always support each other.

Michael has gone above and beyond in his support of his dear pal. Phyllis’ schemes often have her facing prison time and she turns to Michael for help. Although he provides his legal services, one particular storyline had the lawyer getting down and dirty to protect Phyllis.

In an interview with Woman’s World, LeBlanc recalls a hilarious scene where Michael went dumpster diving. ”There was one episode Michael and Lauren (Tracey E. Bregman) went to a dump in a hazmat suit, looking for evidence,” he revealed. While the scene itself was humorous, the next part is what broke LeBlanc and Stafford.

“And after that, came a scene where I talked to Phyllis about it. It was a serious scene, but I knew I could crack Stafford up. I don’t do it on purpose, and she cracks me up too!” He explained. “So they had written Michael as a germaphobe, and I just went for it. Michelle was laughing so hard that she was gradually sinking down her chair and out of the scene. Because of that, I loved it.”

Much like their onscreen friendship, there’s never a dull moment behind the scenes with LeBlanc and Stafford. While it’s fun and games for the co-stars, their characters are always dealing with constant drama. With Phyllis stirring up trouble for other people, Michael is ready to bail his friend out of a jam.
