Like so many things in a COVID world, Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday as it is also known, is going to look a little different because of social distancing — but that doesn’t mean it can’t still be fun according to The Young and the Restless star Michelle Stafford.
Michelle Stafford Helps Christian Le Blanc Celebrate
The usual Carnival celebration, which begins on or after the Christian feasts of the Epiphany and culminates on the day before Ash Wednesday, transforms New Orleans and is a highlight for co-star Christian Le Blanc (Michael), who splits his time between Los Angeles and Louisianna. The actor remains in L.A. for work, but thanks to his YR co-star, he will still get to enjoy it!
“Our Mardi Gras Pod,” began Stafford, alongside several pictures from their party. “Celebrating Mardi Gras with Mr.Christian @christianjleblanc who has been quarantining with us… pretty much.
“We decided if we can’t go to NOLA we will bring NOLA to us,” she continued. “Makin the weekend fun over here. Eating gumbo and jambalaya (which I made from scratch) and eating King cakes, throwing good beads, and finding babies! And laughing!! Is anything better? I think not.”
The post was a hit with Le Blanc’s onscreen wife, Tracey Bregman (Lauren), who wrote, “Love this shot and both of you!” The threesome has been close pals for years and recently showed everyone how to sneak off at work to enjoy a lovely socially-distant lunch on an unused stairwell.
Fans are grateful to see all three in Genoa City and hopefully, they’ll have more scenes together soon since the friendship Phyllis shares with the happy couple is something that viewers enjoy a great deal. Phyllis could certainly use their sage advice as she deals with Nick’s (Joshua Morrow) sister, Victoria (Amelia Heinle). The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
