New faces are fun, but The Young and the Restless is also missing some old favorites. Ones that the fans absolutely love and keep hoping will return to town.
The Young and the Restless Polling
Who should come in from the cold and pick up the action as if they never left? We heard from almost 2,000 fans about who they really miss seeing in Genoa City. Find out who it is.
Top Cop
An overwhelming majority, 74% of the audience, have been beating the drums for years to see Paul Williams (Doug Davidson) take over the Genoa City Police Force again. Right now, it looks like Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) is the only one working (so what happened while he played personal security for Chelsea Lawson, we have no idea). Rey can still do all the action-adventure stuff, but how about letting Paul be the brains of the operation?
Mom’s the Word
Olivia Hastings (Tonya Lee Williams) is Nate Hasting’s (Sean Dominic) mom, she’s Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) best friend, and she’s a beautiful woman… who could make a very interesting match for Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), 11% of you muse. There’s a dearth of successful older women in Genoa City, and Olivia is the perfect one to lead a renaissance!
The Young and the Restless: Sing It Loud
Only 8% voted for Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) to come home. It’s mainly because he has very few connections left. He and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) share a son… whom she doesn’t sob over nearly as much as she did over Summer Newman (Hunter King). His dad and sister are gone, and Christine (Lauralee Bell) has moved on – with Paul, who you’d prefer to see more. So what’s there for Danny to come back for?
The Other Son
Lauren Fenmore Baldwin’s (Tracey Bregman) son, Fen, is out of town, but 7% remember that so is her other one, Scott Grainger. The last time we saw him, he was dating Sharon Rosales (Sharon Case)… and sleeping with Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Hey, she’s kind of at loose ends now…
