The Young and the Restless Thrills Fans As GC Buzz Reunites the Cast

While The Young and the Restless has run out of new material, the iconic show within a show, GC Buzz, is changing that for fans. The stars wanted a way to make people feel less alone during this time of isolation, so they brought the show back with a twist. Hosts Camryn Grimes (Mariah) and Mishael Morgan (ex-Hilary; Amanda) were excited to be back in their chairs to help connect with everyone.

The Young and the Restless Revives GC Buzz

Melody Thomas Scott (Nikki) kicked things off as guests joined in on the fun. She worried about how hard it will be to get back into the rhythm of making the show and did a shout out to the production team to please be patient with them as it may be hard for some to remember their lines again.

Next up were co-stars who fled town like Jess Walton (Jill) from her log cabin in Oregon, Christel Khalil (Lily) from her home in Toronto, Canada, and Donny Boaz (Chance) checking in from Texas. Walton revealed her son warned her about the growing pandemic on January 1, which blew away her co-stars.

Doug Davidson (Paul) and Lauralee Bell (Chris) joined the fun next. Bell did some good ribbing on her co-star but revealed they talk all the time, so they had nothing new to share with each other. They then discussed what it was like to film those honeymoon scenes that aired recently. Spoiler — there’s a particular story about some smells you’ll want to hear!

Even More Guests

Next guests to pop in were Christian Le Blanc (Michael) and Tracey Bregman (Lauren), with the latter sharing tips on self-care that you’ll want to hear. The three ladies chimed in with their love for Le Blanc rocking those grey roots. Find how who he says he’s emulating, as well as hearing who spent their last weekend “out and about” together — and where it was.

Elizabeth Hendrickson (Chloe) brought her new baby JJ on to show her off to her co-stars. She everyone know what it was like for her at the hospital. Greg Rikaart (Kevin) spoke about his isolation as he fought COVID-19 and gave a current health update while Kate Linder (Esther) spoke to the week of classic Jeanne Cooper (Kay) episodes.

The Newman women were next up as Hunter King (Summer) talked about being outside, Amelia Heinle (Victoria) and Morgan compared home-schooling their kids — while Alyvia Alyn Lind discussed being the one being homeschooled, which she’s always done. Morgan wanted tips from Melissa Ordway (Abby) since she’s able to do all she does and do social media. Watch the whole show here. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
