The Young and the Restless star Mishael Morgan was waxing poetic Wednesday evening about her life, realizing that her conviction comes from past experiences. And she certainly has had a traumatic one recently that led to her almost losing her sight.
The actress took to her Instagram page to share her deep thoughts, grateful that she’s improving after the harrowing experience that caused her to have emergency surgery to save her vision back in mid-March.
“I’m still here, still healing, still growing and always learning,” the actress wrote, adding a selfie of herself alongside the post. “Although my vision is still blurred my lessons are becoming clearer. I find it interesting that every time I make decisions in my life I am met with challenges that cause me to reevaluate everything, but ultimately leads me to the same conclusion, but with more clarity.”
Her outlook on life is wise, and the actress clearly has learned from her past and uses that to further her life for the better.
“What was once a timid idea becomes a strong conviction,” Morgan wrote. “My broken neck at 19, gave me the strength to leave [law school] behind and follow my dream. I have always seen struggles and pain that God brings into my life as a humbling, merciful lesson; An experience that I am honoured to have been given and [grateful] that it’s never more than I can handle. He’s not done with you, but he needs you to dig deeper, know your strength, get bolder and start living the life he needs you to live.”
While she understands that some people are facing challenges and maybe some dark times, she wants people to look to their higher power and know it’s not because of anything they’ve done.
“It’s not bad karma, it’s not because [you’re] a bad person, it’s because he wants you to know your power and eventually see your wings,” Morgan wrote, adding a butterfly emoji and the hashtags for learning, healing, loving and living.
This is some advice that Amanda Sinclair should surely subscribe to, being that she and Devon’s relationship was thrown a wrench by his sleeping with Elena again, and she will hopefully learn from it. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
