Doug Davidson of The Young and the Restless has been getting lots of social media attention lately in light of his recently revealed status change at the top-rated soap.
As Soap Hub readers and many fans of Y&R know, Davidson’s contract with the CBS sudser was not renewed earlier this year, just shy of the actor’s 40th anniversary with the show.
It was Davidson himself who revealed the news via social media, to the shock of fans and fellow soap stars alike.
Davidson’s been receiving a flood of support from his many fans on Twitter. And now, he’s tweeted his own message to express his gratitude to his supporters.
“If I haven’t told you all lately,” Davidson posted. “I can’t express how much your kindness, love, loyalty, compassion has meant to me in this very difficult time. I love you all.”
