The Young and the Restless spoilers hadn’t included Conner Newman, as played by Judah Mackey, since before the start of the pandemic. Yet, suddenly, there he was again, video chatting with Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan), looking quite preppy. This made us think, are we being reintroduced to Conner… in preparation for a kidnapping storyline?
From the moment she decided that Adam (Mark Grossman) was still in love with Sharon (Sharon Case), Chelsea has had only one stated goal: Get Adam out of the way so that she and Conner can live happily ever after away from him.
Now that Adam has pointed the finger at Chelsea, will she give up her, admittedly full of Swiss cheese-plan, and just grab her boy and run?
When he first returned from the dead, Adam was much more interested in reuniting with Conner than with Chelsea. Now that she has framed him for murder, will Adam say the hell with his fiancée and just go after Conner? He can visit him at school – Chelsea said she was about to get a restraining order, not that she already got one – and easily convince the Daddy-worshipping lad to join Adam for a life on the run.
And then there’s Victor (Eric Braeden). We know no Newman parent is allowed to make a decision for one of Victor’s grandchildren without running it by the head of the family first.
Would it really be that out of character for Victor to decide, all on his own, that neither Adam nor Chelsea were good enough guardians for Victor’s precious flesh and blood and cut them both out of the boy’s life?
Then they might have to join forces to get Conner away from Victor! But, one way or another, we suspect someone is snatching that kid. What do you think of this wild speculation?
