The Young and the Restless recaps for October 4 – October 8, 2021, feature the (agonizingly) slow build-up to the Newman/Locke wedding that might not even come to pass.
The Young and the Restless Recaps: Monday, October 4
When pressed by Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to come clean about his past, Ashland Locke (Richard Burgi) promised that he would do so – if she agreed to accompany him to Tuscany; Victoria agreed; she and Nicholas Newman (Joshua Morrow) sparred over the latter’s continued search into Ashland’s private affairs.
Sally Spectra’s (Courtney Hope) design for what she hopes will be Victoria’s wedding gown awed Adam Newman (Mark Grossman); he’s charmed by Sally’s determination to present the bride with the actual creation….Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) answers an SOS from Abby Chancellor (Melissa Ordway); they are both concerned over Dominic’s health.
Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) spend the evening together at Society; Phyllis explains her complicated histories with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and Nick….Billy approached Amanda and asked her questions regarding wills and inheritances. Her answers intrigue him enough to order a deep dive into Camilla Rhodes’s last will and testament.
Young and Restless Recaps: Tuesday, October 5
A run-in with Billy convinces Adam that his rival plans to make himself a nuisance at Ashland and Victoria’s wedding; he phoned Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) with his concerns; Victor tasks Adam with neutralizing Billy….Sally persuaded Adam to let her aboard the Newman jet so that she may bring the newly finished bridal gown to Victoria.
Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) is disheartened to learn that Dominic has been suffering from congestion. Abby further stuns her with the news that she and the baby won’t be attending the Tuscany-set wedding, and that she will be weaning Dominic off of Mariah’s breastmilk….Mariah begs off attending the event as well, sorely disappointing Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks).
Ashland promised to reveal his remaining secret to Victoria – and he warned that she may desire a libation, or two, before he begins….Billy’s private detective informed him that Jesse Gains (Jamison Jones) has been located.
Y&R Recaps: Wednesday, October 6
Billy shelters Jesse at the apartment he and Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) share. Jesse agreed to share Ashland’s closely-guarded secret with Billy – in exchange for cash and protection from Victor….Victor ordered Adam to locate Jesse and keeping him far away from Billy.

Ashland confided in Victoria that he and Jesse Gains Sr. forged a letter, in Camilla Rhodes’s hand, which named Ashland the sole beneficiary of her accumulated wealth; Ashland wonders if Victoria will ever be able to forgive his actions.
Adam made a point of telling Sally that they are not attending Victoria and Ashland’s wedding as a couple…Chloe voiced her concern that Sally and Adam’s continued association will lead to romance; Sally poo-poos the idea.
The Young and the Restless Recaps: Thursday, October 7
Ashland and Victoria were stunned by Victor and Nikki Newman’s (Melody Thomas Scott) sudden arrival at the palazzo. While Victoria caught Nikki up on Ashland’s latest admission, Ashland does the same with Victor; Victor is impressed by the depth of Ashland’s obvious affection for Victoria….Nikki strongly suggested that Ashland should call off the wedding – for Victoria’s peace of mind….Victor encouraged Victoria to re-invite Nicholas to her wedding.
Jesse shared with Billy a copy of Camilla’s parting missive to Ashland – in which she expressly states her desire that he receive no sort of inheritance; Jesse further shared his desire to expose Ashland for the fraud that he is; Billy suggested the two of them fly to Italy so that Gains can do exactly that….Adam knocked on Billy’s door and invited himself on inside.
Y&R Recaps: Friday, October 8
Billy threw Adam out of his apartment….Jesse agreed to accompany Billy to Italy – on the proviso that he’s monetarily rewarded….Victoria and Ashland reconnect, and she agrees to give him another chance.
Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) arrive at the Newman’s home away from home; an exuberant Victoria suggests that the couple should use the palazzo for their wedding.
Adam phoned Victor with an update and questioned exactly how far he should go to keep Billy and Jesse grounded….Mariah reiterated her desire to remain in Genoa City, rather than make the cross country journey with Tessa.
