The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, October 27, 2021, picks up with Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor refusing to accept her husband’s death, Rey Rosales refusing to accept his wife’s excuses for why she’s standing up for Adam Newman, and Billy Abbott refuses to believe that the Newmans aren’t responsible for Jesse Gaines’s disappearance.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Even photos of her husband’s decimated last location fail to convince Abby (Melissa Ordway) that Chance is dead. She refuses Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson) and Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) comfort – but does allow them to soothe a crying Dominic when Abby whines that she can’t do anything right.
It’s more than she offers Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes), whom she sends off to warm up a bottle, leaving Mariah to watch sullenly as Devon feeds the baby he may have fathered, but Mariah carried and gave birth to.
Y&R Recap: No Excuses
Sharon (Sharon Case) overhears Billy (Jason Thompson) plotting to incriminate Adam (Mark Grossman) in Jesse’s (Jamison Jones) falling off the face of the earth. Earlier, Billy came to Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) for help, and now Sharon spills to Rey about Billy’s true motives.
Rey only hears one word: Adam. Why does it always come down to Adam with Sharon? Sharon insists she’d react the same way no matter who Billy was trying to frame. Rey scoffs.
Young and the Restless: Help Wanted
As long as Billy insists on going after the Newmans, the Newmans are going to insist on going after him. Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) suggests Billy reach out to Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) to act as a buffer for them. Billy doesn’t want to hide behind his ex-wife’s skirt. Lily doesn’t want to lose everything they’ve worked for.
At the same time, Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Henrickson) and Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) are plotting how to keep the Newman/Abbott battle from spilling over onto them, and Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) commiserates with Rey.
