The Young and the Restless Recap: Victor Tells Nikki Everything

The Young and the Restless recap for Thursday, April 16, 2020, features Victor telling Nikki everything, Phyllis telling Abby how she screwed over her own family, and Sharon and Rey making plans for the future.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

Nick (Joshua Morrow) yelled at Adam (Mark Grossman) about blackmailing Victor (Eric Braeden) into giving him Victoria’s (Amelia Heinle) job as CEO of Newman Enterprises. Then Nick yelled at Victor about giving into Adam’s blackmail. Nick also yelled for Victor to at least tell Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) the truth.

Victor did. Nikki was shocked. The viewers are not shocked. Because Victor didn’t tell us. Just Nikki. During the commercial. Our money is still on Hope having killed AJ and Victor covering up for her. Or, even more soapy, Adam did it. And it slipped his mind. As is wont to happen on soaps. So who can we yell at to get Victor to let us in on the secret, too?

Abby: Hoisted By Your Own Petard

Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) learned about Adam’s treachery from Nick. She told him she thought she could help. Phyllis went to get her blackmail thumb drive from the bank… only to learn that Abby (Melissa Ordway) and Chase (Danny Boaz) stole it.

She confronted them and Abby gloated for Phyllis to admit she’s been beaten. Phyllis admitted it. Then told Abby she was going to use the recording of Adam to help the Newmans. Nice job screwing over your own family, Abby! Abby asked Chance to get Adam talking about their crime and record him, but Chance refused. Adam saved his life!

Meanwhile, Somewhere Else…

Sharon (Sharon Case) lamented this was the week she promised to take Faith (Alyvia Alyn Lind) to the beach for her Spring Break. But now she can’t because of her illness. (Ha, ha, jokes on you both, no one can go anywhere.) Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) set up a beach scene for her indoors. The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS.
