The Young and the Restless recap for Wednesday, August 25, 2021, finds half of Genoa City changing their minds as Nick Newman no longer wants to dig into Ashland Locke’s past, Lauren extends an offer she was against only a few days ago, and Sally Spectra sees a new opportunity.
The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights
Ashland (Richard Burgi) learns that someone has been digging around in his past, and so he tells Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) that there was an older woman who once mentored him and, when her husband died, he bought her TV stations, which kicked off his empire. There was no sex.
At the same time, Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) is telling the same story to Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) and Nick (Joshua Morrow). Though he strongly implies there was sex.
Nikki and Nick are unimpressed and suggest they shouldn’t keep digging. They should just be happy for Victoria. Victoria tells Victor the same thing.
Young and the Restless: Protein Powder
Rey Rosales (Jordi Vilasuso) follows Stitch Rayburn’s (Sean Carrigan) clues about who might be holding Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) hostage. He is waiting to get video footage from the store where Stitch saw someone buy Mariah’s favorite protein snack.

Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) questions what Stitch was doing in that part of town when his hotel is somewhere else. This is the most suspicious part of Stitch’s very suspicious story? Devon insists Abby look at all the inconsistencies. Meanwhile, Mariah is trying to convince Baby Bowie that she is not in labor. It’s too early. And she’s locked up.
Y&R Recap: Boss Lady
Lauren Fenmore Baldwin (Tracey Bregman) is impressed by Gloria’s (Judith Chapman) inability to quit demanding that Lauren hire her, and so goes ahead and gives her the job. She also takes it upon herself to warn Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) about Sally (Courtney Hope).
Sally, on the other hand, is warning Nick about Phyllis (Michelle Stafford). Does he know how much time his girlfriend has been spending with Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) lately?
