The Young and the Restless recap for Tuesday, June 23, 2020, features Eric Braeden’s 1997 Emmy win with an episode that has Victor deciding on a fresh start with a new family.
Meanwhile, Sharon and Nick don’t realize Grace is looking to make the same thing happen for them, while Ashley tells Kurt his old family wasn’t as perfect as he believes, and Dru gets a little too close for comfort with her family.
Victor’s (Eric Braeden) birth family was a bust. His wife, Julia (Meg Bennett) left him. He wanted nothing to do with Eve’s son – then learned Cole wasn’t even his, to begin with. Victor thought everything would be perfect with Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott), Victoria, and Nick (Joshua Morrow). But they refused to do absolutely everything his way.
So, like any good family annihilator, Victor decided to move on. Hey, that farm girl he hooked up with a few years back had his son. Little Adam is adorable. He loves to draw. He loves to box. He thinks “Mr. Newman” is aces. Yup! Victor has found his new family! This son will never disagree with him!
Meanwhile, Nick – who, at this point, appears to be about 20 years older than Adam and it’s kind of tough to think they’ll ever share multiple women… including Sharon (Sharon Case) – is also a new dad. He and Sharon are giddy with happiness that their firstborn child, Noah, will pull through. Except, not so fast… turns out Sharon had another child, years earlier. Meet Cassie (Camryn Grimes), everybody!
Ashley (Shari Shattuck) has to tell her boyfriend, Kurt, that the dead wife he worships wasn’t as happy as he’d assumed during their marriage, and Dru (Victoria Rowell) wistfully recalls her happy honeymoon with Neil (Kristoff St. John)… while confessing her current unhappiness to Malcolm (Shemar Moore). The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes.
