The Young and the Restless recap for Monday, September 6, 2021, finds Victor Newman generously holding off destroying Billy Abbott’s company…until he’s stolen information he claims he doesn’t need from him first. Plus, Victoria Newman wonders what Ashland Locke hasn’t told her yet, Sally Spectra and Adam Newman reassess, and Mariah Copeland is patronized by Abby Chancellor’s whole family.
Billy (Jason Thompson) tries to pump Victoria (Amelia Heinle) for background dirt on Ashland (Richard Burgi), but she blows him off. Billy is talking with Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) about how they’re both after Ashland when Victor (Eric Braeden) comes in, spewing his usual Billy insults.
Billy leaves and Nick points out that Billy might find something on Ashland that they haven’t. Victor concedes that’s possible and says they’ll let Billy dig, then steal his intel and destroy him. It’s the gentlemanly thing to do. Nick can be his double-agent.
Meanwhile, even though she blew Billy off, Victoria is curious enough to ask Ashland if there’s anything he isn’t telling her…Ashland says there is nothing in his past to find. Because of course, you get a nickname like the Locke-Ness Monster when you’re on the up-and-up, right?
Adam (Mark Grossman) suggests he and Sally (Courtney Hope) stop and think about what they’re doing after they kiss. Sally talks to Chloe Mitchell Fisher (Elizabeth Hendrickson) who continues talking about Adam being toxic in vague terms without mentioning oh, the hit and run that killed her kid.
She does mention Conner Newman, who is the most important thing to Adam. Sally then tells Adam they should reconsider a personal relationship…because of Conner. Adam doesn’t like being the one who is turned down. So he asks if they can still have dinner.
Abby (Melissa Ordway) introduces Dominic to her family, including Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). They all pay lip service to how brave Mariah (Camryn Grimes) was and how much they appreciate what she’s done. Only Tessa Porter (Cait Fairbanks) notices how sad her girlfriend looks.
