The Young and the Restless Recap: Victor and Adam Will Rule the World

The Young and the Restless recap for Friday, September 3, 2021, picks up at the Newman Media launch party. Victor and Adam Newman lay out some big plans, which Lily Winters takes as a threat, and Billy Abbott dares them to live up to. In addition, Nick Newman isn’t thrilled with Phyllis Summers’s behavior, and Abby Chancellor is taken aback by Mariah Copeland’s.

The Young and the Restless Recap Highlights

It’s a big night for Newman Media, as first Victor (Eric Braeden), then Adam (Mark Grossman), step up to the podium to announce how their company will be better – and somehow different – from the literally thousands of networks already out there.

Lily (Christel Khalil) sees it as a direct swipe at ChanceCom, especially when Victor offers Elena Dawson (Brytni Sarpy) the chance to come work for him and make more money than she was offered by ChanceCom…even though the woman has no experience and has yet to record a single episode.

Victor just wants what Billy (Jason Thompson) has. He taunts his former son-in-law about what a loser he is. Billy fires back that Victor might, you know, want to publish a story people actually want to read, first. He has a point.

Victor and Nikki (Melody Thomas Scott) pronounce the evening a success, nonetheless. Then they discuss how awful Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) is some more. Wasn’t it awesome how Phyllis (Michelle Stafford) dumped ice water on her head?

Young and Restless: Less Happy

Nick (Joshua Morrow), on the other hand, found the whole thing less awesome. He tells Phyllis to get over it – and herself. They have sex, instead.

Y&R Recap: Bowie Has Two Mommies

Abby (Melissa Ordway) talks a good game about being concerned regarding Mariah’s (Camryn Grimes) feelings. However, it’s her own feelings she’s struggling to keep under control when she catches Mariah feeding little Dominic…with a bottle – that wasn’t in their contract! Get over it – and yourself.

The Young and the Restless (YR) airs weekdays on CBS. Check your local listings for airtimes. For more about what’s coming up in Genoa City, check out all the latest that’s been posted on Y&R spoilers, and for an in-depth look at the show’s history, click here.
